That's good, I like the evocation of the machinery, and then the solar wind, this is what we're looking for. Not so much a traditional score in the sense of tunes and drama but a soundscape to add subliminal texture and information to the text, contrasting the chittering machines of man and the age old deserts they were stranded in. Great to see the effort you're putting in here and I look forward to hearing more. Don't be afraid to go abstract here or use non instrumental samples or whatever, experiment, strip everything down. When you close your eyes and listen only to the music it should still evoke Mars and loss and solitude. Good stuff. Keep going.

This is brilliant stuff - in fact it puts me in mind of a chap called Peter Howell, who (just over 30 years ago) was quite a big name at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. It's just the right mix of atmospheric and electronica... and nicely understated, too.
